Our Mission:

Repairing Homes for Houstonians Devastated by Natural Disasters

The Restoration Team (TRT) is a home repair and disaster response nonprofit in Houston, Texas dedicated to assisting families whose homes were damaged in hurricanes, floods, or other natural disasters. We help coordinate the volunteer response with the needs of the families, primarily focusing on bringing the damaged home to a functional living condition.

The Impact of Disasters on Homeowners

- Disasters do not discriminate. Houston continues to be ravaged by hurricanes, floods, and harsh winter weather.

- When homes are destroyed, our most vulnerable neighbors in Houston are hit the hardest.

- Displacement leads to despair and grief. Many feel restoration is impossible - the obstacles are nearly insurmountable.

All of our neighbors deserve access to safe, sanitary, and secure housing

Our Impact

The Restoration Team has been on the grounds engaging with our church partners in repairing families homes and lives since 2017. We have big goals moving forward. There are still thousands of families displaced and living in unsafe living conditions. Since our inception we have placed thousands of volunteers across Houston to help with the solution, impacted hundreds of our neighbors.

3,000+

unique volunteers

Volunteers from Seattle to Boston and everywhere in between have joined us in our home repair mission. Some join us for a Saturday, a whole week, and some have come back again and again. We are immensely grateful for those who have partnered in our ministry to serve families in need.

Get Involved

Since the formation of The Restoration Team we have hosted thousands of volunteers from all over the country, interacted with thousands of local volunteers, and assisted over 275 families in their recovery. We are looking forward to continuing our efforts until Houston is fully restored from Hurricane Harvey. We also hope to be a stable and prepared entity, so that if and when the next disaster hits our area, we will be ready for immediate action.

Home Repair

Serving with The Restoration Team is a rewarding and tangible way to impact the community and to love our neighbors still affected by Hurricane Harvey. No experience is necessary and the only requirement is to be over the age of 14. We are working Monday-Saturday and most days typically last from 9-4.
